President Donald Trump on Thursday pardoned pro-life activists imprisoned by the Biden Justice Department in the coming days, according to a report published on Wednesday.
A day earlier, two sources familiar with the matter told The Daily Wire that addressing the plight of these imprisoned activists is an immediate priority for Trump’s team, and the pardons are expected within days.
The announcement comes just ahead of the 52nd annual March for Life, a major peaceful demonstration in Washington, D.C., that raises awareness for the lives lost to abortion. The president is expected to address the rally through a pre-recorded video message, the outlet noted further.
On Monday, Trump signed a sweeping executive order granting full pardons to approximately 1,500 individuals charged in connection with the January 6 Capitol riot, fulfilling a key campaign promise to address what he called politically motivated prosecutions by the Biden administration. His actions have sparked optimism within the pro-life community that he will similarly pardon the activists prosecuted under the Biden Justice Department’s enforcement of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, The DW reported.
